(Lady Trojan Field) -- With each Trevecca pitcher helping her own cause with a home run in their respective games, the Trevecca softball team (27-11, 8-6), defeated TranSouth Conference opponent Cumberland University (17-23, 5-11) in a doubleheader with 4-3 and 7-0 victories on the evening.

(Game 1) -- In the first game, the Lady Trojans jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after 2 innings led by Lady Trojan ace Hollie Shane who launched a three run home run in the second inning then held Cumberland to only three runs on eight hits for her 14th win of the season as Trevecca took the victory 4-3. Sophomore third baseman, Rone' Phelps, back in the lineup after missing eight games due to a shoulder injury, went two for three with an RBI.

(Game 2) -- Wendy Allen tossed a complete game shutout in the second game in addition to crushing a grand slam in the sixth inning leading the way to a 7-0 Lady Trojan win. The home run was Allen's ninth of the season which puts her in a tie for both first place in the TranSouth Conference and first place for home runs in a season at Trevecca.
