(Athens, AL) -- The Trevecca softball team (23-9, 6-4) had there losing streak extended to four games with two losses against Athens State University this afternoon in a double header match up.

(Game 1) -- A pitcher's dual kept the first game scoreless through five innings as Lady Trojan sophomore Hollie Shane squared off against Athens State's Keri Hunter. Trevecca managed to put one run across the plate in the top of the 6th inning but Athens State countered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the 2-1 victory. Shane fell to 12-5 on the season in the loss.

(Game 2) -- Athens State doubled up the Lady Trojans 8-4 in the second game. With a 4-4 tie going into the bottom of the fifth inning, Athens State put four runs over the plate in the next two innings to take the 8-4 win. Lady Trojan senior Wendy Allen took the loss for Trevecca and fell to 6-3 on the year.
