(Trojan Field) -- Continuing their best start in
school history the Trevecca Lady Trojans (19-1, 2-0) faced
Campbellsville (4-9) in a double-header match up on Monday.
(Game One) -- The Lady Trojans grabbed a 4-2
victory over Campbellsville in the first game of a double-header.
Trevecca crossed the plate first picking up one run in each of the
3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th innings while Campbellsville managed only one
run in each of the 5th and 6th innings in the losing effort. Seniors
Wendy Allen and Courtney Alexander led the offensive power for the
Lady Trojans each adding a solo home run for the victory. Allen also
picked up the win on the mound and is now a perfect 5-0 on the
season while sophomore Hollie Shane picked up the save in the 7th
inning.
(Game Two) -- Scoring 15 runs on 20 hits in only 4 innings, the
Lady Trojans dismantled Campbellsville 15-5 in the second game of
the double-header. Led by Freshman Evyn Terry's 3 run homer in the
3rd inning, Trevecca tallied four runs in each of the first three
innings and three runs in the fourth while Campbellsville only
managed 5 runs on 6 hits for the game in the losing effort. Junior
Lisa Hethorn threw the complete game win for the Lady Trojans for
her 4th win of the season.
