(Tucson, Ariz.) -- The Lady Trojans (17-1) have
spent spring break at the Tucson Invitational Games in Tucson,
Arizona. The T.I. Games bring four sets of teams for a week at a
time to play a full week of games. Over the four weeks nearly 50
college softball teams will play in the games.
(Game Two) – Bouncing back from their first loss of
the season, the Lady Trojans defeated the University of Saint
Francis with a big 10-4 win in the final game of the Tucson
Invitational Games for Trevecca. Saint Francis grabbed an early 2-0
lead in the first inning but the Lady Trojans, led by junior
Courtney Dickens who went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles in the game, scored
five runs in the 2nd inning and 5 more in the 6th
to take the 10-4 victory. Senior Wendy Allen threw the complete game
for her 4th win of the season. Saint Francis falls to 3-8
overall while Trevecca improves to 17-1 on the year.
The Lady Trojans’ 7-1 record for the week is the
best record of any team at the Tucson Invitational Games.
