(Tucson, Ariz.) -- The Lady Trojans (16-1) have
spent spring break at the Tucson Invitational Games in Tucson,
Arizona. The T.I. Games bring four sets of teams for a week at a
time to play a full week of games. Over the four weeks nearly 50
college softball teams will play in the games.
(Game One) – The first game of the final day of the
Invitational Games saw the Lady Trojans’ undefeated streak finally
come to an end as Trevecca fell to NCAA Division II opponent
Bellarmine University 7-1. Bellarmine jumped out to an early 2-0
lead with a run in each of the first two innings while Trevecca
remained scoreless until finally scoring their lone run in the 5th
inning. Bellarmine added another run in the 5th and four
runs in the 6th to take the 7-1 win. Sophomore Hollie
Shane picked up her first loss of the year giving up 7 runs on 11
hits. Shane is now 9-1 on the season. Trevecca scattered 12 hits in
the losing effort while Bellarmine improved to 10-4 overall with the
win.
