(Lady Trojan Field) -- The Lady Trojans (8-0) hosted Mid-Continent College (0-2) is a chilly double header this afternoon at Lady Trojan Field and promptly handed Mid-Continent their first two losses of the season via the 8 run mercy rule in both games winning the first 8-0 and the second game 9-1.

(Game One) - Trevecca continued their winning ways in the opener with Mid-Continent with a 8-0 shutout. Trojan Wendy Allen earned her second win of the year with a complete game 2-hit shutout over the Cougars. Trevecca scored five in the third to seal the win. Wendy Allen hit her second homer of the season and Brandy Miller hit her first to produce the offense. Allen's was a three run shot, while Miller's was of the two run variety.

(Game Two) - Despite the chilly weather the Lady Trojan bats heated up for the second game which saw Trevecca score in four of six innings (one in the first, two in the third, three in the fifth, and three in the sixth) to take the 9-1 win. Sophomore ace Hollie Shane picked up her 5th win of the year and is now 5-0 on the season while Brandy Miller and Rone' Phelps provided the necessary offensive support with a solo homer each in the winning effort.
