2002 - 2003
Trevecca Men's Golf

2002 - 2003 Men's Golf Season
ReviewIn the fourth season of the
Trevecca golf program, the men's team has continued to improve
consistently each year. The 2002-03 season was no exception. Under
the leadership of Head Coach Dr. Bill Strickland and Assistant Coach
and former Trojan golfer Jacob Ward, the Trojans gained experience
from 10 tournaments throughout the season including a showing in
both the TranSouth and Region XI Tournaments. In the TranSouth
Tournament, freshman Robbie Wilson led the Trojans with a two round
score of 149 as Trevecca placed seventh out of eight teams. In the
Region XI Tournament, Wilson led once again with a two day score of
159 as Trevecca placed 12th out of 12 teams. As the golf team looks
ahead to a new season, the Trevecca athletics program also looks to
a new men's golf head coach. Former Trojan golfer Jacob Ward,
assistant coach this past season, will take over as head coach next
season for the men's team. Ward will also become assistant coach of
the women's golf team.
