(Winona Lake, IN) -- Trevecca moved to the championship game of the Holiday Inn-Vitational at Grace College after defeating the No. 2 team in the NAIA Division II poll, Cornerstone College (MI) 96-89 on Friday. On Saturday, Trevecca came out facing an intimidating home crowd and quick Lancer team but the Trojans managed to hang on to a slim 42-40 lead going into half time. In the second half, the Trojans came out on fire shooting 60% from the three point line and 67% from the field as the Trojans cruised to their first Tournament Championship of the season with a 91-78 win. Senior Will Partin led the Trojans in scoring with 19 points in the game including 5 assists and 3 steals. Curtis Lewis added 18 points and Marshall "Bootsy" Hyler contributed 17 points including 3 three pointers. Jared Austin and Brandon Howard had 15 and 14 points respectively. Wesley Poe added 5 points and 6 rebounds in the winning effort. The Trojans improve to 4-3 on the year and have captured their first Tournament Championship of the season.
