TranSouth Tournament
(Mount Berry, Ga.) -- The Trojans (15-13) traveled to Rome, Ga.
to face Berry College (21-12)
in the first round of the TSAC Tournament. The
teams split during the regular season. Trevecca defeated Berry 98-61
in Nashville on February 8, 2003, while Berry defeated Trevecca
86-77 on March 1, 2003. In the rubber game the teams decided
overtime was needed to decide the winner. Trevecca led 86-83 with
less than a minute remaining, but Berry rallied and took the lead
with 16 seconds remaining. Trevecca had the ball, but turned it over
and Berry was able to hold on for the 87-86 victory.
Jared Austin scored 21 points and had two blocks in the game.
Marko Kandic had 15 points and 12 rebounds for his second
double-double of the season.
It was the final game for seniors Darryl Keckler, Jared Austin,
Marshall Hyler and Will Partin. They combined for over 4,400 career
points in a combined 13 seasons of play for Trevecca.
