BASKETBALL: SENIOR NIGHT THURSDAY
(Moore
Gym) -- NAIA No. 24 (16-10, 7-5 TranSouth) hosted Lee University for
Senior Night on Thursday in Moore Gym.
Despite
shooting 60.7% from the field and 53.8% from the three-point line,
the Trojans fell as Lee took the victory 93-85.
Junior
Marko Kandic led the team with 24 points and 9 rebounds shooting 10
of 12 from the field while senior Jared Austin added 17 points
shooting 8 of 10 from the field and dishing out 4 assists. Senior
Marshall "Bootsy" Hyler tallied 15 points while sophomore
Wesley Poe and senior Darryl Keckler added 11 points each. The
difference in the game came at the free throw line as Lee shot 23 of
26 from the charity stripe while Trevecca shot only 4 of 9 from the
foul line.
The
Trojans will next travel down to Rome, GA on Saturday March 1 to
take on Berry College at 3 PM Central Time. |
