Trevecca Nazarene University vs.
Cumberland University
(Nashville, Tenn.) -- Trevecca
hosted Cumberland University in a game that was regularly scheduled
for January 16, but was rescheduled due to snow. Not even snow could
stop the Trojans tonight as they began the game on fire shooting
56.3% from the field in the first half taking a 40-26 lead into
halftime. Led by senior Bootsy Hyler (20 points, 3 assists) the
Trojans rolled to an easy 92-58 victory. Junior Curtis Lewis added
18 points shooting 7 of 12 from the field while senior Darryl
Keckler tallied 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in the winning
effort. Senior Jared Austin scored 10 points and 4 assists while
sophomore Wesley Poe drained 8 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and
dished out 3 assists.
Trevecca improves to 12-6 overall and 3-1 in the TranSouth
Conference. The Trojans will host Lyon College on Saturday at 4:00
p.m. All Trevecca games can be heard on 89.1 and 91.5 FM WNAZ.
