(Pulaski, TN) -- The Trevecca baseball team (24-14, 7-8) lost a
critical pair of games at Martin Methodist College (23-13, 8-7)
today. The losses drop Trevecca to 6th in the conference, which are
more painful with the knowledge that two wins would have put the
team in a tie for first. Trevecca avoided the sweep with a complete
game from Keith Black.
(Game One) -- In the first game Trevecca's Eddie Sanchez (6-1)
suffered his first loss of the season as Trevecca wasted 12 hits
against winner Jeremy Poole of Martin Methodist. Trevecca lost 8-5
despite the dozen hits and two solo homers. Kyle Felts hit his 7th
and Dusty Johnson his 3rd. Colby Rainey was 3-for-4 with two runs.
Martin Methodist produced their 8 runs partially off of three
homeruns.
(Game Two) -- Trevecca fell 4-3 in the rubber match. B.J. Jenkins
(2-5) was the hard luck loser for the Trojans as Mark Young got the
win and Jeremy Poole got the save for Martin Methodist.
Trevecca will visit NCAA Division-II North Alabama on Tuesday at
4:00 p.m. Trevecca will host Lyon College for a single game on
Friday at 2:00 p.m. and for two games on Saturday starting at Noon.
