Trevecca Nazarene University vs.
Union University
(Jackson, TN) -- The Trevecca baseball team (23-12, 6-6) traveled
to Jackson, TN and came out with two wins and a loss in the three
game series against
Union University. Game one was suspended
due to rain in the top of the 8th inning with Trevecca Nazarene
leading Union 10-4.
(Game 1) -- Trevecca scored five runs in the top of the second
inning and three more runs, one per inning, over the next three
innings before rain resulted as the only thing that seemed to be
able to stop the Trojans. The game was temporarily postponed on
Friday night and resumed Saturday morning with the Trojans leading
10-4. Trevecca added 2 more when the game resumed and took the
victory 12-7. Keith Black improved to 3-3 on the season with the win
while Justin Curtis batted 4 for 4 with three runs and three RBIs in
the winning effort.
