(Jackson, Field) -- Bethel College (4-5) traveled to Nashville on
Wednesday for a double header contest against Trevecca (18-9) at
Jackson Field for game one and then over to Shelby Park for the
second game under the lights.
(Game One) -- In four and a half innings in the first game the
Trojans crushed 14 runs on 11 hits to take the 14-2 win over Bethel
College. Billy Johnson (2-2) gave up only two runs in the game,
while junior Colby Rainey slammed his fifth and sixth home runs of
the season. Junior Justin Curtis added to the offensive show with
his fourth homer of the year in the winning effort.
(Game Two) -- Bethel took the lead early in the second game
scoring two runs in the top half of the second inning. The Trojans,
however, answered with a six run bottom half of the second inning
and added another run in the third inning to take the 7-2 victory.
Junior Dusty Johnson helped with a home run in the winning effort
while Scott Wiggins improved his record to 3-0 on the year pitching
5 innings and giving up only two runs. Adam Duncan and Kendall
Gregory provided scoreless relief in the sixth and seventh innings.
