(Campbellsville, Ky.) -- Trevecca (13-8) swept a pair of double
headers 2-1, 6-4, 10-5, and 6-0 from Campbellsville (3-7) just over
a week ago at Jackson Field.
(Game One) - The Tigers of Campbellsville gained some revenge by
taking the first game of a double header 9-2 over Trevecca. Trevecca
took the lead 2-0 in the top of the second, but couldn't hold the
lead. Campbellsville scored 3 in the bottom of the third and never
looked back. They scored their 9 runs on 5 hits and each team
committed 3 errors. Trevecca managed only 3 hits in the game. Billy
Johnson (1-2) started and took the loss.
(Game Two) - After losing 4 of their last 5 games Trevecca
bounced back with 18 runs in the second game to claim a 18-2 victory
over Campbellsville. Trevecca scored their season high 18 runs on 14
hits and had three home runs. Campbellsville had 8 hits and 2
errors. Kyle Felts hit a grand slam, while Colby Rainey (3), and
Jordan Baker joined the home run party. Scott Wiggins pitched a
complete game and improved to 2-0 on the year.
Trevecca will host Montreat College at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at
Jackson Field and return to conference play at Freed-Hardeman this
weekend.
