(Nashville, TN)- Game 1- The clouds finally parted partially on
Friday enough for the Trojans to host a double header against the
Campbellsville Tigers. In the first game, senior Eddy Sanchez
pitched a complete game three hitter to lead the Trojans to a 2-0
victory. Trevecca scored 2 runs in the third inning and kept the
Tiger bats in check to claim their 9th victory of the season.
Sanchez is now 4-0 on the season.
Game 2- In the second game, the Tigers roared to life and jumped
out to an early 3-0 lead, scoring in each of the first three
innings. The Trojans battled back and scored once each in the
second, third, and fourth innings to close the gap with
Campbellsville leading 4-3 heading into the final inning. In the
bottom of the seventh, Trevecca junior Kyle Felts launched a two
out, three run homer over the right-center field wall for the game
winning home run as the Trojans completed the two game sweep with a
6-4 victory. Sophomore Todd Dunlap threw 6 innings giving up four
runs on four hits and senior Scott Wiggins pitched perfect ball in
the final inning to pick up his second win of the season. Senior
Randall Harbert went 3 for 4 with 2 runs while senior Jordon Baker
batted 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a run scored in the winning
effort.
The Trojans, now 10-4 on the year, will host Campbellsville once
again tomorrow at noon for another double header match up.
