TNU vs Lambuth


Moore Gym (11-10-01) - Trevecca claimed the 58th meeting with Lambuth University 70-58 and improved their advantage in the series to 30-28. 
 
Lambuth jumped out to a 7-2 lead before the Trojans evened the score at 11 with 14:23 remaining the first half. Lambuth would pull away again and held their largest lead of the game (21-14) with 11:39 remaining in the first half. Trevecca would regain their composure and pulled to within two points at the half (34-32).

The second proved to be all Trojans as Trevecca rolled off a 33-11 run over the last 12:59 of the game. Jared Austin scored 11 and grabbed 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the year. Will Partin led the team for the second consecutive game with 15 points on 5 of 7 shooting from the field. Partin also led the team with 4 assists and hit 3 of 4 three-point attempts.

Trevecca hit 25 of 56 (44.6%) from the field, 6 of 13 (46.2%) from three-point range, and hit 23 of 29 (79.3%) from the foul line. Trevecca also ruled on the boards 40-34 and forced LU into 17 turnovers with 9 steals. Freshman Wesley Poe had 2 blocks. Marshall Hyler scored 14 points and had 9 rebounds. Darryl Keckler scored 12 points and 5 rebounds.

Trevecca is now 2-0 on the season.
