TREVECCA VS. INDIANA WESLEYAN

Marion, Ind (12/08/01) - Trevecca took on the home team in the Indiana Wesleyan Tournament championship game. Trevecca made things look easy early as Darryl Keckler and the Trojans pulled away with incredibly hot shooting and stingy defense early on. Trevecca led by as many as 21 in the first half before holding a 42-29 halftime lead.
In the second half Trevecca continued to lead by 10 or more for a great deal of the second half before the home team mounted a furious rally and actually tied the game at 68 with 11 seconds remaining. Trevecca's Darryl Keckler put the game on ice with a 8 foot jumper that went through the net with just 7 tenths of a second remaining. Trevecca held on to claim the championship with a 70-68 victory.
Trevecca improves to 8-2 on the year by hitting 26 of 52 (50%) from the field, 6 of 15 (40%) from three-point range, and hit 12 of 18 (67%) from the foul line. BT Warren scored 20 and grabbed 9 rebounds, Keckler scored 17 points after hitting 3 of 4 from three-point range.
Trevecca's Jared Austin and Will Partin were named to the all-tournament team, while BT Warren was named the tournaments MVP for his two day performance.
