TREVECCA VS. OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN

Marion, Indiana (12/07/01) - Trevecca found Oklahoma Wesleyan to be a tough team to figure out in the opening round of the Indiana Wesleyan tournament. Oklahoma Wesleyan held close to the Trojans in the first half. Trevecca could only manage a 4-point (39-35) lead at the halftime break.
Trevecca began to pull away in the second half and on three different occasions held a 16-point lead OWU rallied though and pulled to within 5 points (67-62) with two minutes remaining in the game. The Trojans secured the victory by hitting their free throw attempts down the stretch and move into the championship game on Saturday.
B.T. Warren led three Trojans in double-figure scoring. Warren had 22, Will Partin had 16, and Jared Austin scored 10 and added 13 rebounds to pull the double-double. Trevecca continued to shoot well from the field hitting 52.9% of their shots from the field. TNU also hit 44.3% from beyond the three-point line and hit 71.4% from the free throw line.
