Head Coach - Scott Jones
Honors: TranSouth Athletic Conference Coach of the Year
1998
Scott Jones took the reigns as the coach of the Lady
Trojan Volleyball team three years ago. He has a vision for excellence and
he is
leading this year's team with the motto: "Effort alone can create spectacular
results."
Coach Jones is building a team for national and
international competition. The team has had several encouraging early results and
Coach Jones is excited about what is happening: "I love the sport of volleyball. It
is a passion of mine to share the joy of volleyball with young players. I hope to share
the exciting opportunities in volleyball by extending my experience and training with
players."
Coach Jones is a player's coach. He has traveled
extensively, playing in such events as the National Iron Man Tournament and the U.S.
National Open Championships. He also participated in international competition when
he played against top teams in the former Soviet Union in 1987. While there, he
received training from the Soviet Olympic coaches.
Coach Jones brings a wealth of experience to the team
and he will undoubtedly continue to improve the Trevecca volleyball program. Coach Jones
is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
