Head Coach
Jeff Forehand
Jeff Forehand begins his first season as Trevecca's head baseball
coach after a very successful seven-year stint as the head baseball
coach at Goodpasture Christian High School in Madison, TN.
Forehand led Goodpasture to three state baseball titles and a
runner-up finish during his run as head coach. Goodpasture won the
1999 Division II State Championship, the 1997 Class A State
Championship, the 1995 Class A State Championship, and finished as a
runner-up during the 1994 season. Prior to becoming the coach at
Goodpasture, Forehand was an assistant from 1990-1992 for his
father, Fred Forehand, at Montgomery Bell Academy.
Jeff Forehand was an All-City third baseman for Goodpasture
during his playing days and later played in college under the
legendary Dave Whitten at Belmont University.
He brings a resume filled with honors and
awards to Trevecca. He was named Division II and State Coach of the
Year during the 1999 season, and he also garnered Class A and State
Coach of the Year honors during the 1997 and 1995 campaigns.
A graduate of Belmont University, Forehand earned the master's of
education at Tennessee State University in 1995.
Coach Forehand brings a renewed sense of excitement to the Trojan
baseball program and has made great strides in recruiting numerous
players from local high schools. "I've spent half my life,
eight years as a student and seven years as a coach, at Goodpasture,
and it was hard to leave the friendships and memories I've lived
through," says coach Forehand, "but coaching at Trevecca
is the opportunity that I and my family have been waiting for."
Jeff and his wife, Karen, have two sons, Gant and Brooks.
