OBU gets revenge for National Tournament loss

Bethany, OK (11-18-00) - The 11th-ranked Trevecca Nazarene University Lady Trojans found out the Oklahoma Baptist University Lady Bison have a good memory.  Oklahoma Baptist rallied in the second half to gain revenge for the first round loss TNU delivered to OBU in last springs NAIA National tournament.

Trevecca hit 11 of 26 field goal attempts and 10 of 13 free throw attempts in the first half to claim a 33-23 halftime lead.  

Oklahoma Baptist held TNU to just two free throw attempts in the second half to rebound and defeat the Lady Trojans 71-56.  OBU outscored Trevecca 48-23 in the second half.

Jennifer Wilson and Molly Schoenberg each scored 19 points in the loss to lead the Lady Trojans in scoring.  Schoenberg also led TNU with 8 rebounds.  Wilson led the Lady Trojans with 5 assists and pulled down 7 rebounds.  Stephanie Arnett equaled Schoenberg's team high 8 rebounds.  

Trevecca hit 22 of 58 (37.9%) from the field, 1 of 6 (12.5%) from three-point range, and 11 of 1 (73.3%) from the foul line.  Trevecca out rebounded Oklahoma Baptist 38-36 and forced OBU into 16 turnovers with 6 steals.  OBU forced TNU into 20 turnovers with 13 steals..
