Red Storm defeat Lady Trojans

Bethany, OK (11-17-00)-The 11th-ranked Trevecca Nazarene University Lady Trojans found out what everyone had predicted, a much improved Southern Nazarene University Red Storm team.  The Red Storm, ranked 4th in the preseason NAIA poll, led the Lady Trojans by just 6 points at the halftime break.  

In the second half, SNU continued to build on its lead.  Southern outscored TNU 51-36 in the second period. 

Jennifer Wilson led the Lady Trojans with 19 points.  Charity Williams and Molly Schoenberg were the only other Lady Trojans with double figure scoring.  Williams scored 15 points and led the team with 6 rebounds.  Schoenberg scored 10 and pulled down 5 rebounds.

Trevecca hit 19 of 53 (35.8%) from the field, 3 of 12 (25.0%) from three-point range, and 25 of 34 (73.5%) from the foul line.  SNU won the battle of the boards 41-27.
