back over South Virginia

Nashville, TN (11-11-00) - The
11th-ranked Trevecca Nazarene University Lady Trojans bounced back one
night after losing their first game of the year to handle South
Virginia 72-50 in the consolation game of the Pikeville College
Tournament.
The Lady
Trojans worked to gain a 37- 23 first half lead after hitting 17 of 42
shots from the field and 3 of 8 three-point attempts. In the
second half the Lady Trojans really turned it up a notch.
Trevecca hit 16 of 31 field goal attempts and pulled away for the
72-50 victory by outscoring South Virginia 35-17 in the second period.
Sophomore Charity Williams, a transfer from NCAA
Division-1 Liberty University, recorded her first double-double in a
Trevecca uniform. Williams scored 12 points and claimed 14
rebounds. Molly Schoenberg fell one rebound short of her second
double-double of the season. Schoenberg scored 14 points and
snagged 9 rebounds. Jennifer Wilson led the Lady Trojans with 18
points, 5 assists and 6 steals. Wilson hit 9 of 18 field goal
attempts.
Trevecca hit 33 of 73 (45.2%) from the
field, 3 of 11 (27.3%) from three-point range, and 3 of 13 (23.1%) from
the foul line. Trevecca out rebounded South Virginia 48 to 33
and forced them into 26 turnovers with 14 steals.
