started the game on fire and pulled away to a double digit lead in the
early part of the first half. Trevecca would bounce back and
closed the gap to just 2 points midway through the first half.
Freed would pull away again and held a 34-26 halftime lead.
Freed started the second half the way they
started the game with a run of points. Freed built their lead to
16 points at one point in the second half. The Lady Trojans
didn't rest or fold. The team rallied and closed the gap to just
two points again with less than 2 minutes to play. Freed was
able to hit their free throws (20-25 for the game) and held on for the
victory 76-69.
Trevecca hit 22 of 61 (36.1%) from the field,
1 of 6 (16.7 %) from three-point range, and 24 of 32 (75.0%) from the
foul line. Trevecca won the battle of the boards 44-37 and forced
Freed into 19 turnovers with 4 steals.
Jennifer Wilson led the team with 26 points
and 10 rebounds. Charity Williams had another double-double as
she scored 14 points and a team high 14 rebounds. Ashley Boykin
added 11 points.
