Trojans started the game with a 9-2 run and let their former
conference foe and current NCAA Division-1 opponent know that they
were ready for the challenge. Lipscomb battled back and tied the
game at 14 with 12:24 to go in the first half. Neither team
would hold more than a 4-point lead in the first half. Trevecca
would slid out to a 1-point (38-37) halftime lead.
Trevecca started the second half as they did
the first, on fire. Trevecca outscored Lipscomb 19-6 and held a
57-43 lead with 12:42 to go in the game. Lipscomb would be intimidated
and roared back to claim a 1-point (70-69) lead with 1:31 to go in the
game. The teams would end regulation tied at 72.
In overtime Trevecca would build a 5-point
(80--75) lead with 1:52 to go. Lipscomb bounced back and tied
the game at 80 with :40 seconds remaining. neither team could
muster a score until Jennifer Wilson hit a three-point basket as time
expired.
Trevecca hit 30 of 76 (39.5%) from the field,
9 of 19 (47.4 %) from three-point range, and 14 of 17 (82.4%) from the
foul line. Each team ended the game with 40 rebounds.

Molly Schoenberg (TranSouth Player of the
Week), led the team with 27 points. Jennifer Wilson scored 20,
Ashley Boykin added 19, and Jamie Mills led the team with 6
assists. Schoenberg, Wilson, and Charity Williams claimed 7
rebounds apiece, while Mills grabbed 6. Williams had a team high
3 steals.
