Franklin Springs, GA (11-20-00)--Trevecca
defeated Emmanuel College for the second time this season, this time
at the Northeast Georgia college's campus.
Trevecca started the game by hitting 4 of
its first 5 three-point attempts built a 41-33 halftime lead.
Emmanuel did rally in the second half as the Trojans tired from 3
games in 4 days. Emmanuel tied the game at 74 with 5 minutes
remaining in the game. The Trojans rallied and found their second
wind and pulled away with a 13-4 run to finish the game.
Trevecca hit 35 of 63 (55.6%) from the
field, 9 of 23 (39.1%) from three-point range, and 8 of 10 (80.0%)
from the foul line. Emmanuel won the battle of the boards 36-31.
Trevecca had 8 steals and forced 16 turnovers.
Darryl Keckler led the Trojans with 28
points after hitting 6 of 14 three-point attempts. Keckler also
added 4 assists and 5 rebounds. Michael Blivens hit 11 of 21 shots
from the field and finished the game with 27 points, 6 rebounds, and
led the team with 3 steals. Jeremy Austin added 9 points and led the
team with 8 rebounds. Georgia native Eric Addie scored 9 points,
grabbed 7 rebounds, and led the team with 5 assists and 2 blocks.
