New Albany, IN (12/19/00)--Trevecca defeated
Indiana University Southeast for the second time this season and for
the sixth time in a row. The Trojans have never lost to IUS
and have scored a 100 points against them the last three times they
have played.
Trevecca shot an impressive 63.3% (19-30)
from the field in the first half. The Trojans started the game
hitting 6 of their first 7 three-point shots and 9 of 14 attempts
for the half. Trevecca led 55-49 at the half.
Trevecca didn't cool off much in the second
half. The Trojans continued to build their lead and led by as
many as 23 points in the second half. Trevecca hit 5 of 10
shots from three-point range and 24 of 42 from the field in the
second half.
Trevecca hit 43 of 72 (59.7%) from the
field, 14 of 24 (58.3%) from three-point range, and 11 of 21 (52.4%)
from the foul line. Trevecca won the battle of the boards 43-38 and
forced IUS into 17 turnovers with 9 steals in the game.
Trevecca scored 21 points off of turnovers and scored 19 second
chance points.
Eric Addie led the Trojans with 29 points
and grabbed 7 rebounds. Addie hit 3 of 5 from beyond the arc
and hit 13 of 16 shots overall. Addie also dished out 3
assists and only had one turnover in almost 35 minutes of
play. Michael Blivens and Darryl Keckler each added 22 points
apiece. Blivens hit 5 of 6 three-point attempts, claimed 6
rebounds and picked off to steals. Keckler hit 6 of 11
three-pointers had 2 steals and 3 assists. Jared Austin scored
10 points had 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Will Partin led the
team with 10 rebounds and 9 assists; while scoring 7
points.
