(2/12/01)-Trevecca found out the Wildcats bite harder at home, than
on the road. Trevecca blasted Bethel out of Moore Gym 103-81
on January 22. Trevecca shot 46.2% (12-26) from the field in
the first half to claim a 42-41 halftime lead.
The second half saw Bethel pull
ahead and lead for most of the second half. Trevecca wouldn't
claim the lead until the final minute of the game. Trevecca
was able to pull ahead late and claim the 75-73 lead.
Trevecca hit 21 of 42 (34.7%) from
the field, 8 of 27 (29.6%) from three-point range, and 17 of 21
(81.0%) from the foul line. Trevecca won the battle of the
boards 48-40. Trevecca forced Bethel into 21 turnovers with 11
steals.
Michael Blivens led the Trojans
with 21 points and completed his 5th double-double of the year
with 10 rebounds. Blivens also added 4 assists and 2 steals. It was
Blivens 15th game of at
least 20 points this season. Curtis Lewis added 15 points with
4 of 5 shooting from three-point range. Jared Austin added 10
points and 6 rebounds. Will Partin managed 8 points, 4 assists
and a team high 5 steals.
