(2/01/01)-Trevecca, playing their only game for 12 days, started the
game cold as ice. Berry on the other hand couldn't miss for
the first 3:16 of the game. Berry led 11-0 with 16:44
remaining in the first half. Trevecca didn't get its first
basket until the 16:21 mark of the half. Trevecca rolled from
that point as they ran off a 31-4 run. That run included a
24-0 run from the 13:42 mark until the 4:27 mark of the first
half. Trevecca would go on to hold a 40-23 lead at the
half.
The second half saw the Trojans
continue to build on their lead despite a few Berry rallies.
Michael Blivens scored all of his team high 19 points in the second
half.
Trevecca hit 34 of 68 (50.0%) from
the field, 5 of 15 (33.3%) from three-point range, and 17 of 26
(65.4%) from the foul line. Trevecca forced Berry into 26
turnovers with 12 steals and won the battle of the boards
41-33.
Michael Blivens scored a team high
19 points and moved into 19th place on the Trojans all-time scoring
list passing Greg Scharf and Blanchard Howard. Blivens also
grabbed 6 rebound, had 2 steals and 3 assists. Jeremy Austin
had 18 points and led the team with 9 rebounds, 6 on the offensive
side. Darryl Keckler scored 10, led the team with 4 assists
and 3 steals. Eugene Featchurs had a team high 2 blocks.
David Stark scored 6 and grabbed 6 rebounds.
